DataFrameworks Software Supported Platform Pre-Requisites

Main Server Requirements

It is a requirement that the main server be dedicated to DataFrameworks only.

X86 PC running Red Hat Linux 9.0/EL 3.0/4.0
1GHz , 1 GB RAM - minimum
3 GB available disk space

Sun Sparc running Solaris 7,8 or 9
1 GB ram minimum
3 GB available disk space
Java updates must be applied

Supported File Systems
The following file systems have been certified for operation with DataFrameworks.

xfs / cxfs / nfs / ext3 / ReiserFS / ufs / VxFS / hfs / hfs+ / gpfs

Client Requirements
Any number of ‘Client’ machines can be used with DataFrameworks. Those qualified to date include:

SGI Mips running Irix 6.5.11m or above
Minimum 100MB disk space and 512MB ram

X86 PC running Red Hat linux 9.0/EL 3.0/4.0
Minimum 100MB disk space and 512MB ram

Sun Sparc running Solaris 7/8/9
Solaris patches for Java
Minimum 100MB disk space and 512MB ram

Apple Mac running OS/X 10.3.5 or above
JRE 1.4.2 Update 2
Minimum 100MB disk space and 512MB ram

Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/NT/98SE
Minimum 100MB disk space and 512MB ram

Supported Platforms
