Generate Incremental Revenue

With physical tape based workflows, customers were routinely charged for resources consumed (i.e. every tape consumed / generated). Physical resources are visible, tangible, and simply considered a line item on the work order. However, with the transition to file based workflows accountability is typically inadequate to determine the costs associated with the electronic storage of the files associated to work orders.

 
Proposals associated with file based workflows to customers often have the storage costs well understood and accounted for in the up front processes (i.e. the active Digital Intermediate component of scan, conform, grade). However, difficulties arise in accounting for time delays in deliverables, and the customer’s quality control process both of which can require project data to be resident on storage resources for extended periods of time, locking up valuable resources required for other revenue generating projects.
