Who are users? For the purposes of this web site we are defining ‘Users’ as those people who use the hardware and software infrastructure on a daily basis for the benefit of the organisation. Some users may well be customer or client facing e.g. customer service representatives. The User interface... The DataFrameworks user interface provides system users with simple, logical paths to their data irrespective of the application they are running. Files are structured, organised and named to best suit the user and not the computer system. Files can be accessed and stored using meaningful names and not lost in a morass of illogical character sequences. A user need not bother about where or how their files are stored; they just need to get on with the job of using them. Logical naming conventions... DataFrameworks allows any number of folders to be created, all of which follow a predetermined list of titles. These folders or sub-folders contain user data files. Typically these folders may follow application specific, project specific or business specific naming conventions. Data contained in these folders may be located anywhere within the organization’s network. Users do not need to know where their data is, only that it is simply and logically accessed. Helpful tools... In addition to providing a simplified filing system interface, DataFrameworks contains a host of industry and application specific tools to help users with their data management e.g. Image size calculator. Just makes life easier... In short, DataFrameworks just makes life easier for all those users who spend their day working with data intensive applications. Click here to email us for an easier life!
